The Young Hispanic Republican Association (YHRA) is a political organization formed by two young visionary Hispanic Americans, to offer dynamic new perspectives and approaches towards promoting the Republican Party to a new generation of young Hispanic leadership. Bearing in mind the necessity to impact 50,000 Hispanic Americans turning 18 every month, we will utilize new media technologies to communicate and share the opinions of young Hispanic Republicans. Our core philosophy is rooted in fiscal responsibility, a hard work ethic, and family values. We believe this to be inherent culturally in Americans of Hispanic descent of all ages and important towards ensuring a strong, free and prosperous democratic nation.
Mission Statement:
The Young Hispanic Republican Association (YHRA) is dedicated to promoting leadership skills and conservative values by providing Hispanics between the ages of 16-39 the essential communication and networking opportunities to become actively involved in the political process. In addition, the YHRA seeks to encourage and promote young Hispanic Republicans as candidates for political office at the local, state, and national levels.
What We Believe:
We believe the strength of our nation lies with the individual and that each person’s dignity, freedom, ability and responsibility must be honored.
We believe in equal right, equal justice and equal opportunity for all, regardless of race, creed, sex, age or disability.
We believe free enterprise and encouraging individual initiative have brought this nation opportunity, economic growth and prosperity.
We believe government must practice fiscal responsibility and allow individuals to keep more of the money they earn.
We believe the proper role of government is to provide for the people only those critical functions that cannot be performed by individuals or private organizations and that the best government is that which governs the least.
We believe the most effective, responsible and responsive government is the government closest to the people.
We believe Americans must retain the principles that have made us strong while developing new and innovative ideas to meet the challenges of changing times.
We believe Americans value and should preserve our national strength and pride while working to extend peace, freedom, and human rights throughout the world.
Finally, we believe the Republican Party is the best vehicle for translating these ideals into positive and successful principles of government.
